Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
108 PM EDT Wed Aug 13 2025

.DISCUSSION...
The biggest change in the forecast tonight is that a batch
or showers/storms is expected to move through the CSRA and into
the Midlands overnight before diminishing some into Thursday
morning as a meso low and upper shortwave move near the region.
This low should then trigger showers/storms Thursday afternoon
and evening that are bit more widespread, mainly in the eastern
Midlands. Rain chances are expected to be a bit lower Friday
and possibly into the weekend as an upper ridge moves in.

Fog potential tonight: Low fog potential but some low clouds could be possible tonight.
