Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
235 PM EDT Fri Jun 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Warm and mostly dry weather is seen this afternoon with
light westerly winds seen. A stray shower/storm cannot be
ruled out this afternoon across the area with more possible
after 7-8pm mainly north of I-20 as an upper disturbance
moves in. This activity quickly wraps up with dry conditions
expected into Saturday morning before more storm chances
are expected during the late afternoon and through the
evening as an area of strong to severe storms approaches from
the west, where the highest confidence in this activity is across
the CSRA and southern Midlands. Westerly winds pick up tomorrow
also to near 10 mph with some gusts toward 20-25 mph possible. More
storm chances then are expected Sunday.

Fog Potential Tonight: Low chances of fog tonight.
