Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
141 AM EDT Tue Jul 1 2025

.DISCUSSION...
A weak cold front will approach the area as moisture increases
further today with southwesterly winds. Widespread showers and
storms associated with this system will move through the area
Wednesday. Rain will likely be moderate to heavy at times with
total rainfall expected between a 0.50 and 1.50 inches with
locally higher amounts. As the front continues eastward, expect
rain to taper off from west to east late Wednesday into Thursday.
Limited storm coverage Thursday, favoring the eastern portion of
the area with drier air moving in for the end of the week. Low
level moisture will remain sufficient enough, however, to keep
minimum RH around 50 percent each day.

Fog Potential Tonight: Low chances for fog overnight.
