Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
217 PM EDT Wed Jun 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Light rain is pushing into areas mainly west of I-26 this
afternoon but is expected to continue to spread throughout
the area into this evening as developing low pressure moves
through the state. The best chance this afternoon through
tonight for rain showers will be across the eastern Midlands
and into the Pee Dee region, as well as the southern CSRA. Rain
likely carries into Thursday morning before diminishing after 3pm
or so, though an isolated shower/storm cannot be ruled out.
Late Thursday afternoon through Friday are trending a bit drier, only
keeping isolated chances for a shower/storm as winds turn out of
the southwest to west Thursday and finally the west Friday at 5-10 mph.

Fog Potential Tonight: Low clouds with areas of fog will be possible
tonight.
