Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
123 AM EDT Thu Jul 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...
As a weak surface front moves east of the area today, drier air
will settle into the region through Friday. The best chance for
any rainfall should remain along the coastal plain and the far
eastern Midlands and CSRA. As moisture returns to the region
this weekend, we can expect a more typical summertime pattern
of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Fog Potential early this morning and again tonight: Patchy fog
possible.
