Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
431 AM EST Fri Jan 31 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Increasing southwest winds today ahead of a cold front. As the
front approaches, expect a line of showers to move through this
evening into tonight leading to around a half inch to an inch of
rain. Winds shift out of the west behind the front tonight and
weaken into the weekend with high pressure ridging into the area.
No rain expected beyond Friday through the middle of next week,
although low level moisture will likely be sufficient to keep RH
generally above 45 percent.

Fog Potential: Low
