Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
302 AM EST Sun Feb 23 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Strong high pressure and a dry air mass will remain over the
area today. Weak low pressure will move east across the Gulf into
Monday and moisture is expected to remain mainly south of the area,
although a few isolated light showers are possible near the CSRA
early Monday. As the low moves well east of FL Tuesday, the ridge
will weaken as dry cold front moves south through the area Tuesday
night. Afternoon RH values will be in the 30 to 35 percent range
through midweek as moisture slowly increases. Another cold front will
move through the area Thursday with scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms. Temperatures will moderate each day and expect above normal
Temperatures ahead of the front Thursday.

Fog Potential Tonight: None.
