Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
104 AM EST Sun Dec 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Areas of low clouds and patchy dense fog are expected to persist
this morning before lifting by midday. While another cool and
cloudy day is expected, it should remain dry today as the main
axis of moisture has passed to the south. An upper disturbance
will approach tonight and a period of light rain is expected late
tonight and into Monday morning with a few additional showers
possible across the northern Midlands Monday evening. The Tuesday
through Thursday time frame will be warmer and drier with the next
chance of rain anticipated Thursday night into Friday with a cold
front.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy fog may once again develop towards
daybreak Monday but is not expected to be as widespread as this
morning.
