Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1200 PM EST Sat Dec 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...
A batch of rain moves out tonight, leaving 48 hour rain totals
between 0.50-1.25", highest south of the I-20 corridor. Drier conditions
are expected tonight and into Sunday where mostly dry weather is
expected to continue through the day before rain chances move back
in Sunday night. Another shot of rain is expected Monday from a quick
hitting system before high pressure builds back in Tuesday, bringing
dry conditions through at least early Thursday. There is some indication a
cold front may move through sometime late Thursday or during the day Friday,
bringing back rain chances.

Fog potential tonight: Areas of fog expected tonight, possibly dense in spots.
