Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1202 PM EST Fri Dec 5 2025

.DISCUSSION...
At least isolated to scattered rain chances continue tonight,
focused more toward the southeastern Midlands before more wet
weather is anticipated Saturday, predominately south of the I-20
corridor. By the end of Saturday 0.50-1" of total rainfall will be
possible from the past couple of days, highest in the southeastern
Midlands. Sunday and Monday bring more isolated to widely scattered
chances of rain, though Monday has been trending drier so most
locations may stay on the dry side. After this, high pressure builds
back in, bringing back dry conditions, though minimum RH values are
expected to remain above 45% each day through the late week at this time.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy fog possible again tonight.
