Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
147 PM EDT Tue Jun 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure remains over the region this afternoon with
warm and dry conditions prevailing under mostly clear skies
besides some haze from Canadian wildfire smoke. Winds have been
out of the east to southeast at 6-12 mph with some gusts toward
20 mph seen. For tonight, moisture begins to quickly increase
with low clouds likely into Wednesday morning, but the area
likely stays dry. Better rain chances then move in by Wednesday
afternoon, continuing into the evening and through at least
the first half of Thursday. For the rest of the forecast
period, it looks to be fairly wet into early next week with
Friday having the lowest chance for rain at this time.

Fog Potential Tonight: Low clouds with areas of fog could be
possible tonight.
