Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
123 PM EDT Fri Aug 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Below normal temperatures with mostly cloudy conditions continue
into the weekend. Drier air, relative to earlier this week, is in
place over the area through Saturday, keeping convection isolated
to widely scattered with highest chances focused in the eastern
portions of the district. Temperatures warm back up next week
to near normal. Deeper moisture moves into the region Sunday and
early next week leading to increased shower and thunderstorm
chances.

Fog potential tonight: Low
