Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
108 PM EDT Mon Oct 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Tuesday should be mostly dry and warm. Changes will begin
Wednesday as a cold front begins to push through the region.
Rain chances will increase ahead of the front through the day,
lasting into the evening and portions of the overnight hours.
By Thursday the front will have pushed south and east, ushering
in colder and a little bit drier air. In addition, with a tight
pressure gradient still over the area, winds are expected to
become breezy both Thursday and Friday as a surface low begins
to develop along the front off the southeastern coast.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy fog possible
