Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
Issued by National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC
143 AM EDT Wed May 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Unsettled weather is expected through the end of the week, into
the weekend, and into early next week. Today looks to feature the
lowest chance of rain throughout the day, with rain expected early
Thursday and then again on Thursday night. By Friday, a cold
front should approach with widespread showers and thunderstorms
expected during the afternoon and evening. Southwesterly winds are
expected ahead of the front with northeasterly flow behind it. As
we get into the weekend and early next week, daily chances at
widespread rainfall are expected.

Fog Potential through Tonight: Patchy fog possible, mainly
near bodies of water.
