...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
  following county, Lancaster.

* WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 247 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lancaster, Elgin, USC Lancaster, Andrew Jackson State Park,
    Buford, Van Wyck, Unity Fire Station, Camp Creek Fire
    Station, Arrowood Estates, Lancaster Mill, Antioch, Bear
    Creek Park, Kirk Air Base, Carolina Commons Shopping Center
    and Tradesville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.

Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid
traveling in this area. Turn around, don`t drown.
