...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following
  county, Richmond and central South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Aiken and Barnwell.

* WHEN...Until 230 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1232 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Williston, New Ellenton, Jackson, Elko, Savannah River Site H
    Canyon, Savannah River Site Badge Office, Audubon`s Silver
    Bluff Sanctuary and Bennock Mill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.

Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid
traveling in this area. Turn around, don`t drown.
