.DISCUSSION...

Clouds are increasing as a large disturbance begins moving into
the region. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible after
1500 MDT this afternoon, with showers becoming more widespread
late tonight. Snow will begin mixing in overnight. Cold and wet
conditions can be expected through the weekend, with significant
snowfall forecast. Current projections are for 4 to 8 inches of
snow at the SAR site from Saturday through Sunday night.

Cloud bases around 6,000 ft AGL this afternoon will lower this
evening, with widespread mountain obscurations expected tonight
through the weekend.

Sky/weather.........Increasing clouds. Isolated rain showers and
                    thunderstorms after 1500 MDT.
Chance of pcpn......20 percent.
Max temperature.....52-56.
Min humidity........36-40 percent.
Surface winds (mph).Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to
                    around 30 mph. Gusty and erratic winds near
                    thunderstorms.
 Ridgetop...........Southwest 15 to 30 mph.

.TONIGHT...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy. Isolated to scattered showers, with
                    isolated thunderstorms in the evening. Showers
                    become more numerous overnight, with snow mixing
                    in.
Chance of pcpn......60 percent.
Min temperature.....32-36.
Max humidity........88-92 percent.
Surface winds (mph).Southwest winds 6 to 12 mph with gusts to
                    around 20 mph in the evening becoming south to
                    southeast 6 to 12 mph overnight. Gusty and erratic
                    winds near thunderstorms.
 Ridgetop...........Southwest 10 to 20 mph, becoming south to
                    southeast 7 to 14 mph overnight.
