There is an increased chance for wetter thunderstorms across the region this afternoon and evening. A few storms could be severe and produce strong wind gusts (the highest risk) along with hail and heavy rain. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Monday but coverage should be much less than today. There is high confidence for strong high pressure aloft to bring hotter and drier weather Tuesday and Wednesday. This will be followed by a dry cold front and potential gusty winds Wednesday night.
