Southeast winds (30-45 mph) are expected to continue into this evening over the Montana/Dakotas border region, as a low level jet forms. Showers and a few thunderstorms spread across the area tonight with a cold frontal passage. The chance of a wetting rain is low for most areas, though locally higher totals are possible. Gusty northwest winds of 20-40 mph will accompany the front, with locally higher gusts possible. Monday will bring drier and cooler conditions, along with brisk west winds. Gusts 30-50 mph will be common across the districts, with 45-55 mph possible from Big Timber north through Judith Gap and along the Dakotas border. While a few showers are possible mid week, a weather system towards the latter half of the week looks to bring the next potential for widespread precipitation.
