A weak disturbance will cross the area today bringing a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm to the district. Wetting rain chances will be near zero, with locally gusty winds (35-45mph) near shower/tstm activity. Low level jet increases southerly winds over the eastern half of the district tonight into Saturday morning. Expect marginal RH recoveries west (especially in the thermal belts) with better recoveries in the east. Fire Weather Watch is in place for Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening over the western half of the district as pre- frontal warming and drying push temperatures to the triple digits, and RH values to the single digits, Saturday afternoon. A dry cold front is expected Saturday night, with RH values staying low behind the front Sunday. Expect breezy northwest winds Sunday, especially over the eastern half of the district. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler Sunday but still in the mid 90s. Cooler and moister air arrives for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 70s/80s and RH values close to 30% in the afternoon. Wetting rain chances remain near zero Monday and Tuesday despite the cooler temperatures.
