Strong south to southwest winds are occuring over the western foothills ahead of the cold front this evening. Temperatures are above normal in the 70s and 80s, and RH values are in the teens. Strong winds will continue tonight along and behind the frontal passage, with the timing of the front around midnight for western zones and before sunrise for eastern zones. Winds are expected to remain strong into mid day Saturday. RH recoveries are expected to only reach near 40 percent behind the front and fall into the 15 to 25 percent range Saturday. Conditions are then expected to improve Saturday night, with cooler temperatures, light winds, and better RH recoveries. Into next week, a warm and dry weather pattern continues, with highs in the 80s Monday into Thursday and RH values mainly in the teens each day.
