...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE NORTHERN REMINGTON AND MCGHEE BURN
AREAS REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR SOUTHERN
ROSEBUD COUNTY...

At 535 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicates the heavy rainfall has ended
over the warned area with between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain having
fallen over  portions of the Remington and McGhee burn areas. While
the heavy rainfall has ended, flash flooding is likely ongoing and
it will take several hours for water to recede.


HAZARD...Flash flooding and debris flows caused by thunderstorms
         in and around the Northern Remington and McGhee Burn
         Areas.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flooding of areas in and downstream of the Northern
         Remington and McGhee Burn Areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Birney, Birney Village and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation.

Streams impacted by flash flooding include Hanging Woman Creek, Lee
Creek, and the East Fork of Hanging Woman Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and
ditches in the Northern Remington and McGhee Burn Areas. Severe
debris flows can also be anticipated across roads. Roads and
driveways may be washed away in places. If you encounter flood
waters...climb to safety.

Do not drive on or attempt to cross flooded roads, find an alternate
route. Roads and driveways may be damaged or washed out in places.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency officials and
request they pass the information to the National Weather Service in
Billings.
