...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING
THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation
  expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of a coating to 2
  inches and ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch. For
  the Winter Storm Watch, heavy lake effect snow possible. Total
  snow accumulations of greater than 7 inches possible in the most
  persistent lake snows.

* WHERE...Northern Cayuga and Oswego Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 4 PM this afternoon
  to 4 AM EST Thursday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Thursday
  evening through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday evening commute, and the Friday morning
  and evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery
roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while
driving.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just
a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations an
  inch or less in most areas, and 1 to 3 inches across Niagara and
  Orleans counties. Ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch
  possible, and up to a tenth of an inch across Niagara and Orleans
  counties.

* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Northern Erie, and Genesee Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 4 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Wednesday evening commute.

AFTERNOON TO 4 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations an
  inch or less and ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch.
  Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph tonight, especially near the
  Lake Erie shore and across higher terrain.

* WHERE...Southern Erie and Wyoming counties and the western
  Southern Tier. The greatest ice accumulations will be across
  interior portions of the Southern Tier, with little if any ice
  along the immediate Lake Erie shoreline.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 4 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Wednesday evening commute. Gusty winds
  will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday evening commute.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
  accumulations of 1 to 3 inches in most areas, and 4 to 7 inches
  close to the Saint Lawrence River. Ice accumulations of a few
  hundredths of an inch to two tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as
  high as 40 to 50 mph late tonight and early Thursday, especially
  near the north slopes of the Tug Hill Plateau.

* WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will
  impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
