PM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 3
  to 5 feet in the most persistent lake snows.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. Especially higher
  terrain, but lower elevations including Watertown will also be
  significantly impacted.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Friday to 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening
  commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just
a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.

Consider delaying travel. If you must travel, drive with extreme
caution. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of
you, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid sudden
braking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when
making turns.

  will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

  10 to 18 inches possible in the most persistent lake snows.  The
  greatest accumulations are expected to be between the city of
  Buffalo and the Southtowns.

* WHERE...Northern Erie County.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult with poor visibility and
  snow covered roads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Narrow bands of heavy snow could bring rapidly changing road
conditions and visibilities. Localized travel problems will be
possible.
