...THUNDERSTORMS MOVING OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Lake Ontario from Sodus Bay to North Pond...

At 351 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 7 nm north of Fair Haven to near Sodus
Bay, moving east at 40 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Oswego, Mexico Bay, North Pond, Selkirk Beach, Sodus Bay, Fair Haven,
and Sandy Island Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

A special marine warning may eventually be required if these
thunderstorms intensify over the nearshore waters. Boaters should
consider heading for shore before these thunderstorms arrive.
