...VERY GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS BEHIND A COLD FRONT...

A cold front across central Lake Erie is moving southeast at 40
knots, with the front expected to reach the Ripley around 630
p.m. and Buffalo Harbor around 730 p.m. Winds will quickly shift
northwest at 20 to 30 knots sustained with gusts briefly to 35
knots behind the front. The strongest wind gusts will only last a
couple hours before easing slightly.

Mariners should be prepared for a sudden shift and increase in
winds and quickly building waves as this cold front moves through.
Those in smaller craft should seek safe harbor immediately. A
Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the near shore waters.
