...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of western New York, including the following
  counties, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe and Wyoming.

* WHEN...Until 130 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding,
  particularly between Avon and Geneseo in Livingston County. Expect
  many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 733 PM EDT, Flooding from earlier thunderstorms produced
    rainfall amounts between 3 and 5 inches.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Geneseo, Warsaw, Avon, Attica, Pavilion, Lima, Varysburg,
    Hemlock, York, Sheldon, Livonia, Covington, Alexander,
    Leicester, Wyoming, East Bethany, Bethany Center, Dale,
    Orangeville Center and Lakeville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
