...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of western New York, including the following
  county, Chautauqua.

* WHEN...Until 330 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 917 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
    warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 0.5 and 2
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Jamestown, Lakewood, Jamestown West, Long Point State Park,
    Gerry, Ellington, Celoron, Bemus Point, Ellery Center,
    Ashville and Stow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
