Total ice accumulations between four and seven tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph, but up to 50 mph in the Saint Lawrence Valley this afternoon. * WHERE...Portions of northern New York and eastern Vermont. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause scattered power outages. Travel could be nearly impossible, especially this morning`s commute. Gusty winds starting this afternoon will further increase the risk of power outages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Most of the ice accumulation will occur through 10 AM. Temperatures will quickly fall later in the day as gusty winds develop, which may cause additional power outages through tomorrow morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
