...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL WINDSOR COUNTY
THROUGH 330 PM EDT...

At 250 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Chester, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chester, Baltimore, Andover, Springfield, Perkinsville Village,
Weathersfield, Ascutney, Weston, Cavendish, Windsor, Ludlow,
Perkinsville, Weathersfield Bow, West Springfield, North Chester,
North Springfield Lake Recreation Area, North Springfield,
Simonsville, Wilgus State Park, and Downers.

This includes Interstate 91 between mile markers 40 and 54.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
