Overnight, there have been strong relative humidity recoveries with plenty of fog. Most places have relative humidity values near or over 90 percent. Abundant sunshine is expected today, with temperatures climbing into the mid 80s near Fair Haven. Wildfire smoke from Canadian Wildfires will result in poor air quality before exiting late morning or early this afternoon. Relative humidity values this afternoon will likely fall to, or just under, 40 percent. Precipitation from yesterday near Fair Haven was about a tenth of an inch. The wind forecast today near the site is challenging due to a lack of a large scale weather systems driving the winds. The proximity to Lake Bomoseen and Scotch Hill may influence winds. Although winds will favor the southwest around 5 mph, a southeasterly direction will be possible in the afternoon. Overnight, strong relative humidity recovery is again expected. A compact weather feature will produce rain, mainly south of the Fair Haven area. However, a wetting rain still appears possible with 0.25" precipitation probabilities of about 40 percent. Embedded lightning will be possible with this system and any activity in the afternoon. Cloud cover on Sunday afternoon and the potential for additional showers should hold temperatures near 80 in the afternoon with relative humidity values in the 70 percent range. Winds on Sunday will be southerly at 4 to 8 mph. .TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (35-45 percent). Patchy fog early in the morning.
