.DISCUSSION...
Total rainfall amounts through tonight are expected to range
from 0.50 inch in far southeastern Vermont up to 1.25 inch over
much of northern New York and northern Vermont. Locally higher
amounts are possible. Winds will turn to the north to northwest
and remain gusty on Wednesday, but relative humidities will
generally stay above 40 percent. Gusts between 20-30 mph are
expected Wednesday, with the strongest winds in the Champlain
Valley. A few lingering showers are possible on Wednesday but they
will not produce a wetting rain in most places. Northerly winds
will again gust between 10 to 20 mph on Thursday and relative
humidities will fall into the 30 to 40 percent range.
