.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions will continue through Saturday as high
pressure builds into the region. Strong radiative cooling has
helped relative humidity recover at or above 80 percent. Today,
relative humidity values are expected to fall towards 30 to 40
percent this afternoon under sunny skies. Light winds are expected
across the region with north winds becoming increasingly variable
until it switches out of the south. Steady south winds tonight in
the broader valleys may keep relative humidity values lower in
unsheltered areas overnight. Increasing moisture in the south flow
will hold relative humidity values to 35 to 45 percent, but with
gusts of 15 to 25 mph across the region. This could pose some
fire weather concerns. The next chances of widespread wetting
rains will be on Sunday as a system brings gustier conditions and
some thunderstorms as well. Chances of showers linger into next
week.
