...The National Weather Service in Burlington VT has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Vermont...

  Mad River At Moretown affecting Washington County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mad River at Moretown.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, the Mad River begins to leave its banks.
  Field flooding occurs between Waitsfield and Moretown, and some
  local roads will flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 8.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage to 9.4 feet
    this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late this
    evening to 4.3 feet tomorrow evening.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
