...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN KENEDY...
NORTHEASTERN JIM HOGG...NORTHEASTERN HIDALGO...BROOKS AND
NORTHWESTERN WILLACY COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM CDT...

At 358 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles northeast of San Manuel, moving north at 35
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raymondville, Falfurrias, Lyford, Encino, Hargill, Rachal, Lasara,
San Manuel, Linn, and Faysville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate Highway 69 E between mile markers 43 and 45.
 Interstate Highway 69 C near mile marker 12.
 US Highway 281 between mile markers 708 and 764.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
