* Until 1100 AM CDT.

* At 856 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 29 nm
  northeast of Laguna Madre to 14 nm southeast of Boca Chica Beach,
  moving southeast at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Riviera Beach, South Padre Island, Laguna Madre, Queen Isabella
  Causeway, Port Mansfield, Laguna Vista, and Port Isabel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
