.DISCUSSION...
Hot, humid conditions are expected to prevail with southeasterly
winds remaining under 20 kts. Fuel moisture continues to decrease,
but remain uncured for the time being. Relative humidity values
in Zapata county may dip to below 25%, and below 35% in Jim Hogg
and Starr counties today. There is a chance of isolated showers
along the sea breeze this afternoon along and east of US 281.
We`re keeping an eye on the Energy Release Component, which is
forecast to increase to the 75-90th percentile Thursday in western
counties. Elevated fire weather conditions are not expected at
this time given wind speeds and borderline fuel dryness.
