Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate southeast winds this afternoon has led to
Small Craft Exercise Caution conditions for the Laguna Madre and
the nearshore (0-20 nm), but winds are expected to weaken
throughout the evening to light to moderate winds overnight. Seas
remain slight with 1 to 3 foot waves. Patchy fog is expected to
become more widespread overnight and a Marine Weather Statement
is in effect for the Laguna and nearshore Gulf waters till 10 AM
Thursday morning as visibilities of 2 to 4 NM are expected,
perhaps as low as a 1 NM for brief periods of time. This pattern
is expected to continue through the weekend, remaining dry, though
showers, thunderstorms and Small Craft Exercise Caution
conditions are possible early next week ahead of, and behind, the
arrival of a possible cold front.
