Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure will combine with a weak area of
low pressure about 100 nm east of southern Tamaulipas and northern
Veracruz to maintain light to moderate northeast winds and slight
to moderate seas through Wednesday. Weak high pressure will cover
the area Wednesday night and early Thursday, with a continuation
of mainly light winds and slight seas. Moderate to strong high
pressure will develop over the southeast U.S. Thursday and Friday,
and a broad east to northeast gradient will form between it and
lower pressure over the southwest Gulf and northwest Caribbean.
Seas will become moderate with an increasing swell period Friday
and especially Saturday, and east to northeast winds may increase
as well.
