...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS
EVENING...
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Isolated minor coastal flooding with water nearing the
  dunes at narrow beaches.

* WHERE...Kenedy Island, Willacy Island and Cameron Island
  Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Wave run-up may approach the dunes along narrow
  beaches. Beach equipment, such as umbrellas and chairs, could
  be moved by waves. Vehicles driving along narrow beaches may
  experience higher water levels. Elevated water levels may also
  occur across the Laguna Madre and South Bay, and along State
  Highway 4 west of Boca Chica State Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide is around 6 PM this evening, and
  the highest waters levels...near the dunes at narrow beaches and
  within 50 feet or so of the dune line elsewhere...is likely
  between 4 PM and 8 PM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Low profile vehicles should avoid beach travel at public access
points north of the city of South Padre. On city beaches...trash
cans and other equipment should be moved back toward the dune line
to be safe.
