Spot Forecast for Leyden WMA prescribed fire...Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
447 AM EDT Thu Oct 17 2024

Forecast is based on ignition time of 0900 EDT on October 17.
If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National
Weather Service.

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will still govern weather conditions near the
prescribed burn site today. Expect full sunshine and a modest
north to northeast wind. Although mixing depths are very low to
start owing to the chilly temperatures carrying over from the
overnight, expect better mixing by mid morning as temperatures
rise and solar heating continues. With high temperatures in the
upper 50s, lowest afternoon relative humidities are expected to
range between 40 and 45 percent.
