If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. ...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM THIS EVENING... .DISCUSSION... An Air Quality Alert is in effect until 11 PM this evening at the request of the Massachusetts Dept of Environmental Protection for fine particulates. Smoke from wildfires in central Canada have spread across a large portion of New England and has led to reduced air quality. Individuals with asthma, lung or heart disease should limit prolonged outdoor activity given these conditions. Hazy, smoky conditions are expected to continue through the rest of the afternoon. Some improvement in visibilities are expected tonight as the most concentrated area of smoke moves westward into interior Southern New England. Aside from the hazy, smoky conditions, dry weather is expected to go along with seasonable temperatures in the low 80s and low humidities as well. Cloud cover increases for the second half of the overnight with low temperatures in the upper 50s. Overcast conditions are expected for Sunday, with the best chances for rains from mid-morning to the early afternoon. An isolated thunderstorm is possible with this shower activity but widespread or strong thunderstorms are not expected. High temperatures in the upper 70s. .REST OF TODAY...
