Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
409 PM EDT Sat Oct 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Strong high pressure for late October will continue to settle
over the Northeast states this weekend. This will lead to a spell
of above normal temperatures, clear skies and light west winds.
With a lack of rain of late, soils are beginning to dry out.

Lowest relative humidities this weekend are expected to range
between the mid 20s to mid 30s percent range for most locations,
except around 45 to 50 percent for the RI and MA South Coast as
well as the Cape and Islands.

.OUTLOOK...Monday through Friday...

Large area of high pressure will be in control bringing well
above normal temperatures and continued dry conditions into
mid-week. A change in the weather pattern may start for later in
the week, with small chance for showers on Thursday that should
diminish Friday.
