KALS...VFR cigs will spread up from the south and thicken and
lower overnight with -SHSN spreading into KALS after 13-14z.
MVFR to IFR cigs and vis will accompany the snow showers with
possibility of a slushy inch or two of accumulation at the
terminal through 18z. There will be a lull in the snow with a
transition to an off and on showery nature to MVFR -SHSN in the
afternoon through early evening. Winds will generally be light
with speeds under 15 kts.
KCOS and KPUB will also see VFR cigs spread in and lower/thicken
overnight into early Sunday morning. -SHRA will be possible at
the terminals after 18-19z bringing rounds of MVFR cigs/vis
through the afternoon and again during the evening. There could
be some snow mix in at KCOS after 00z, but odds are greatest
for an all rain event with little to no snow accumulation. Winds
will start out south to southeasterly around 10 kts during the
day before shifting around from the north after 23 at KCOS and
after 03z at KPUB. -KT

A low working across the Southwest is lifting cloud cover across
the Four Corners, with precipitation to follow early this
morning for southeast UT and southwest CO. This will bring
breakpoint to near breakpoint conditions with mountain snow
showers and valley rains expected at KASE, KMTJ, KTEX, KDRO, and
KGUC. Marginal conditions are possible for KCNY and KGJT by
Sunday morning, but remain low confidence, therefore kept PROB30
verbiage in there. Conditions begin to improve along the state
line Sunday evening, but moving eastward towards the Divide rain
and snow showers will continue into Sunday night across our
mountains from I-70 southward. Winds remain light with a few
shower enhanced gusts possible within embedded showers.

A low working across the Southwest is lifting cloud cover across
the Four Corners, with precipitation to follow early this
morning for southeast UT and southwest CO. This will bring
breakpoint to near breakpoint conditions with mountain snow
showers and valley rains expected at KASE, KMTJ, KTEX, KDRO, and
KGUC. Marginal conditions are possible for KCNY and KGJT by
Sunday morning, but remain low confidence, therefore kept PROB30
verbiage in there. Conditions begin to improve along the state
line Sunday evening, but moving eastward towards the Divide rain
and snow showers will continue into Sunday night across our
mountains from I-70 southward. Winds remain light with a few
shower enhanced gusts possible within embedded showers.

.AVIATION...KSLC...Northwesterly winds will persist until a
transition to southeasterly around 03-04z. Fog chances will return
once again late tonight and into early tomorrow morning. After 06z,
patchy fog will begin to develop over the lake, resulting in a 30%
chance for dense fog and LIFR conditions between 11-16z if the fog
is able to move over the airfield. Similar to today, may see some
MVFR SCT-BKN cloud decks lasting through much of the morning, likely
dissipating after 18-19z.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Across southern Utah, showers
will increase in coverage after 08-10z, mainly for areas east of
KBCE and south of KHVE, resulting in MVFR-IFR conditions at times.
These showers will likely continue through the morning, dissipating
through the afternoon as the low pressure system continues eastward.
Across northern Utah and southwest Wyoming, expect patchy dense
fog/LIFR conditions to redevelop across certain valley locations
after 03-06z, with the highest chances in the Cache Valley, Heber
Valley, near KEVW, and areas close to the Great Salt Lake between
KSLC and KBMC.

remain clear overnight, with light winds. An area of high cirrus
races from around KRKS northeast over KCPR late tonight and
tomorrow morning, clearing back out no later than 18Z. The next
weather system begins to push high cirrus into the area from the
northwest around 00Z/24. Only impacts tomorrow night would be at
KJAC, which would see gradually lowering cigs and light showers
beginning after 06Z/24.

VFR conditions will prevail across western and north central
Nebraska throughout most of the effective TAF period. WInds remain
light and variable under clear skies overnight, with winds becoming
southerly to southwesterly by the afternoon. During the afternoon
hours, winds are expected to become gusty across the Sandhills and
north central Nebraska, with gusts around 20 knots. Clouds gradually
track in from south to north throughout the afternoon, with chances
of rain showers across southwest Nebraska in the late evening and
beyond the TAF period. These showers may be accompanied with MVFR
ceilings, however, lower ceilings are possible, especially beyond
the effective TAF period, when IFR conditions are more likely.

For KGLD & KMCK... VFR conditions are currently forecast through
at least 18Z, but continue to monitor a 20% chance that some fog
may form before 14Z. Keep an eye out for amendments or changing
conditions. A low pressure system brought in by an upper trough
is forecast to push a band of showers through the area between
21-04Z. No hazardous weather is currently expected, though be
alert for gusts around 25-35 kts as these move through. These
showers should form southwest of the terminals and move through
to the north. Around this time as well, low and mid-level
moisture should push in and lower ceilings. Expect ceilings to
fall to 1000ft fairly quickly, and could lower to around
300-500ft. Fog will also be possible after 00Z with the increase
in low-level moisture.

Excellent flying weather will continue through 12z Sun, with
VFR/SKC and light/variable winds. Rapidly increasing mid and
high clouds are expected Sunday. A band of rain showers is
expected to be near EHA around 18z Sun, GCK/LBL through 21z Sun,
near DDC 21z Sun through 00z Mon, and near HYS 00-03z Mon. Rain
showers will move rapidly northeast through the airports, with
minimal reductions in visibility and limited impacts on aviation
operations. After 18z Sun, south winds will increase at
GCK/LBL/DDC with gusts to near 25 kts. Briefly higher gusts may
occur with passing showers. High confidence that flight
categories will degrade after 00z Mon, with widespread IFR
stratus expected.

VFR conditions are forecast through the overnight hours even
though there are very low chances for fog. TAFs will be amended if
fog does impact the terminals, but the chances have decreased.
Rain showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across the
Panhandles from late this morning through the early evening. In
addition to the visibility reduction from the rain, low clouds
will lead to MVFR to potentially IFR conditions. The low clouds
may start to lift towards the very end of this TAF cycle, but have
kept MVFR ceilings with this issuance. Winds will mainly be out
of the south over the next 24 hours.

VFR conditions will deteriorate from west to east overnight
through Sunday morning. Rain and mountain snow have begun to move
into southwest NM and will continue to shift east/northeast
through Sun morning. MVFR cigs are expected, but moderate to high
chances for IFR cigs/vsbys exists in the heavier precipitation. In
general, the heavier precipitation should last no more than 2-5
hours at most locales. Mtn obscurations are expected. Once the
main area of precipitation passes and the upper low moves over
the NM/CO border in the afternoon, scattered instability showers
and a few thunderstorms will develop favoring areas along and west
of the Central Mountain Chain through early evening. These will
be more spotty in nature, but may briefly reduce cigs/vsby.
Meanwhile, the east canyon wind has thus far has underperformed.
Therefore, have reduced winds in the TAF for KSAF and KABQ, but
gusts near 20-25kt remain possible until the heavier precipitation
arrives around 12-13Z.
