VFR conditions through the TAF period. The boundary associated
with the DCVZ has set up SE of DEN, and thus the stronger S/SE
will most likely not make it to the terminal. Expect light VRB
winds for the next couple of hours. Light rain showers are
likely between 19Z and 23Z, with VRB wind gusts up to 25 kts.
Ceilings could drop down to 6000 ft.
Behind the showers, northwesterly winds should prevail before
turning drainage overnight. Tomorrow, a well defined cold front
will arrive as early as 14Z, with northerly wind gusts up to 25
kts.

At KALS, periods of MVFR cigs/vis this afternoon as waves of
showers move through the area, with even a brief -tsra possible
20-24z as stronger lift crosses the Valley. Precip fades away
this evening, with cigs gradually lifting starting around 02z.
Winds will remain gusty out of the s-sw through the day and into
the evening, with a few gusts to 30 kts likely.
At KCOS and KPUB, vfr conditions the next 24 hrs. VCSH and a
brief shower possible at both terminals until around 23z, though
precip should remain light with only a brief period of lower
VFR cigs under any heavier showers. Shower chances end this
evening with gradually clearing skies overnight into Sunday
morning. Winds will keep a s-sw component through the day, then
light drainage flows develops after 02z-03z, continuing
overnight.

scattered showers and storms are expected until the frontal
passage overnight. Under and near any of the heavier showers

those same low ceilings. Mountain obscurations will occur across

.AVIATION...KSLC...Gusty winds out of the south will persist with
generally VFR conditions at the airport through the remainder of the
morning. There is a chance for scattered showers near the terminal
around 12-14z, though this remains uncertain. Higher confidence
exists with ceilings beginning to drop around 20z, eventually
becoming borderline MVFR as a cold front approaches the airport.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will approach the terminal from 20-
01z when a cold front sweeps through leaving northwest winds in its
wake.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Light rain with occasional low
ceilings with mountain obscurations possible will persist across our
southern sites through the morning. Thunderstorm coverage will
continue to increase throughout the day across all sites seeing a
maximum in the afternoon hours. In the afternoon, MVFR ceilings
across most of our sites appears possible with strong to severe
thunderstorms possible as well. Conditions will generally see an
improvement across all sites following 02-04z.

LIFR conditions at BPI due to fog and low stratus that should
scatter out in the first hour or two of the TAF period.
Otherwise, all other locations are VFR to start. Increasing
rain/storm chances, first west of the Divide after 21Z before
becoming straight rain with the approaching cold front mainly
between 05-10Z, and a bit earlier for JAC that has some lower
confidence chances for a rain/snow mix but left out at this time
with colder temperatures not filtering in until after the
precipitation time. This spreads east of the Divide after 21Z
for COD/RIW/LND with storm chances between 00-03Z before just
rain after 05-06Z respectively. Only rain expected at WRL with
little if any instability after 00Z and doesn`t make its way to
CPR until 07Z.
otherwise, timing of the cold front will be the challenge with
wind shifts northeast to southwest. Increasing winds out of the
south ahead of the cold front, strongest at CPR/RKS up to 30kts
with up to 20-25kts at all other locations. Winds will start to
turn more westerly by Sunday morning with a northerly push
towards the end and possible into the next TAF cycle. This will
be honed in more concisely with the 00Z TAF.

Active weather will impact aviation operations across all terminals,
at varying times, for this TAF period. A plume of moisture will
slide across the CWA today, bringing with it a thick blanket of
clouds and rain. Light rain is currently affecting several
terminals (KCYS, KLAR, and KRWL) and will impact the others
through the afternoon. Some of this rain may be moderate at
times, which may drop conditions down to MVFR, otherwise expect
VFR conditions. There is a slight possibility of a few embedded
thunderstorms with today`s activity. Expect gusty and erratic
winds in or near any shower or thunderstorm activity. There will
be another shot of rain, possibly mixing with snow at times in
KRWL, overnight as a cold front moves through. With the added
moisture, fog development Sunday morning is a possibility for
KCYS, KBFF, KAIA, and KSNY. As the cold front passes, winds will
become westerly and stronger. Western terminals will be
impacted first, around midnight, and then the remaining through
Sunday morning with wind gusts in the 35 to 45 knot range,
diminishing through the evening hours.

VFR conditions are expected to prevail through tomorrow
afternoon across western and north central Nebraska. Winds
remain gusty from the south this afternoon and evening, with
gusts of 25 to 35kts expected. Winds remain gusty from the south
overnight for terminals near and east of HWY 83. A strong
southerly LLJ will also lead to low level wind shear concerns
for terminals near and east of HWY 83 through Sunday morning.
By tomorrow morning, a cold front will push through the area and
lead to a wind shift from south to northwest. Northwest winds
then strengthen tomorrow afternoon, with gusts of 25 to 35kts
expected again.

For KGLD & KMCK... VFR conditions are forecast at both sites.
That being said, winds are expected to remain from the south at
around 20-30 kts through about 3-6Z. Gusts should near 40 kts
through this time period as well. Going later into the evening
and overnight hours, the front/low should begin to move through
and shift the winds to out of the west/northwest while also
weakening them a bit. The low level jet is forecast to develop
and produce low level wind shear with speeds nearing 45-50 kts
within a few hundred feet of the surface. For KGLD, this is
forecast to be fairly limited to around 06Z, as the advancing
low will push the jet off to the east. KMCK could see the jet
linger through 12-14Z. Otherwise, the other thing of note is the
10% chance for a shower or weak thunderstorm to move over
between about 01-05Z from the west. Dry air is the main
inhibitor keeping precip chances low and likely west of the
terminals.

Similar trends in place to previous set of TAFs, with moisture
from ex-TS Priscilla moving eastward into central NM as individual
shower elements move toward the northeast. KFMN/KGUP likely to dip
to MVFR, as more widespread rain/embedded shower activity moves in
from AZ. Latest HRRR model is more bullish in bringing a more
coherent linearly organized convective feature across those
terminals from mid-late morning, with brief IFR in heavier
showers. KGUP also briefly dropped to IFR visibility within the
past two hours. Despite short-term guidance being on board,
confidence is only low-moderate on this continuing until sunrise.
Calm winds there have also led to LLWS conditions currently.
Light/disorganized rain and showers to move into KABQ/KSAF
vicinities around mid-morning as well, with aforementioned line
most likely moving through from 21-24Z. Low confidence on the line
maintaining itself long enough for showers to reach KTCC or KROW
this evening. Gusty S/SW winds will be more of the story there.
Good chance of LLWS developing late Saturday night at KTCC as
well, assuming winds can decouple enough.
