Low CIGS with bases 005-010 are likely to continue for a few more
hours. Winds should take on a more southeasterly component by 15Z
which would aid in lifting low stratus and establishing VFR
conditions by ~17Z, although there`s considerable uncertainty in
the timing of this lifting. Diurnal winds will largely remain out
of the east and southeast today, excepting any occasionally VRB
outflows from afternoon convection. The best potential for -SHRA
or -TSRA will be for KAPA, with more uncertainty farther north,
and generally between 21Z and 01Z.

KALS...VFR conditions overnight into Saturday morning. Gusty east
winds look to dissipate after midnight becoming light and variable.
Showers and thunderstorms look to develop across the San Luis Valley
by mid Saturday afternoon, with reduced CIGS and VIS along with
gusty outflow winds possible at the terminal. Thunderstorms will
clear the San Luis Valley during the evening hours.
KCOS and KPUB...low level easterly flow should allow for stratus
development overnight into Saturday morning with CIGS in the 3-5 kft
range. A few showers and thunderstorms look to develop late Saturday
afternoon across the higher terrain, and confidence in one impacting
the terminals is low at this time. KPUB may see the best chances in
the late afternoon and early evening. Outflow winds in excess of 30
kts may be possible. Thunderstorms look to diminish at both
terminals through the evening, clearing overnight. Mozley

Mostly clear skies and VFR conditions will continue at
terminals, as high pressure pushes in from the west today. Non
zero chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue against
the Divide, but confidence is low in storms forming far enough
west to impact terminals. KGUC, KASE, and KEGE are favorable for
a VCSH, but held off on PROB30 storms. Showers/storms will
produce gusty outflows and lightning, but not much else with the
dry air in place. Wildfire smoke will continue to ebb and flow
across southwest Colorado. Mentioned reduced visibility in KMTJ,
KGUC, KTEX, and KDRO thanks to smoke. Northerly flow will
likely keep other terminals out of the path of smoke plumes.

Mostly clear skies and VFR conditions will continue at
terminals, as high pressure pushes in from the west today. Non
zero chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue against
the Divide, but confidence is low in storms forming far enough
west to impact terminals. KGUC, KASE, and KEGE are favorable for
a VCSH, but held off on PROB30 storms. Showers/storms will
produce gusty outflows and lightning, but not much else with the
dry air in place. Wildfire smoke will continue to ebb and flow
across southwest Colorado. Mentioned reduced visibility in KMTJ,
KGUC, KTEX, and KDRO thanks to smoke. Northerly flow will
likely keep other terminals out of the path of smoke plumes.

Low clouds remain around KCYS, KLAR, KRWL, KSNY, and to a lesser
extent KAIA. MVFR to LIFR ceilings remain possible for these
locations to start the TAF period. These low clouds/fog should begin
to decrease by mid-morning, generally clearing between 15z and 18z.
VFR conditions then prevail for all terminals for the rest of the
period. Diurnal winds occur this afternoon, with gusts to around 20
knots, decreasing in the evening.
A few hi-res models are producing showers/thunderstorms between 19z
and 00z around KCYS and KLAR, with a lesser extent eastwards.
Chances for these locations are about 15% to 20% at this time, so
have left out mention in TAFs due to the lower confidence.

For KGLD & KMCK... Ceilings around 800-1500ft are forecast to
continue through about 15Z. There is a chance that ceilings
could lift one to two hours early or have intermittent breaks
through the first few hours. Once ceilings lift, VFR conditions
are forecast for the remainder of the day with skies gradually
clearing. Winds are forecast to shift from out of the north this
morning, to out of the south by this afternoon.

Radar and satellite at 10z Sat showed a mesoscale convective
system slowly weakening across SW KS. Scattered showers and
embedded thunder may persist through 18-21z, most likely at the
southern terminals of LBL/DDC. VFR is expected to prevail
through Saturday, with midlevel clouds persisting. All airports
are expected to be dry after 00z Sun. Light northeast winds
Saturday will trend light and variable through 12z Sun.

A weather system has passed across the panhandles this morning and
is mostly departed. However this is still causing a few rain
showers and thunderstorms that are not expected to impact any
terminal. With all the rainfall that occurred with this weather
system low level clouds of MVFR levels are forming this morning
which may impact all terminals. These low level clouds will lift
after sunrise with VFR conditions for the rest of the day. There
is a very low chance for further rain showers and thunderstorms
this afternoon. Even if these manage to form they are not expected
to impact any terminal at this time. Going into tonight there is a
low chance that all the prior rainfall will allow for either
further low cloud deck or fog but this remain too uncertain to
reflect in the TAFs.

Storms continue to re-generate in the eastern plains this morning,
but will decrease in both coverage and intensity through the
morning, before ending by 18Z. MVFR to IFR cigs have developed along
the east slopes of the central mountain chain. Clouds will begin to
dissipate after 17Z, potentially not clearing until as late as 21Z
in the central/northeast highlands. Scattered storms may impact
areas east of the Continental Divide this afternoon, moving from
northwest to southeast at 10 to 15 kts. There is a low chance of
large hail and damaging wind gusts with storms in the afternoon and
evening in central and eastern areas. Storms may persist as late as
09Z in the southeast plains tomorrow night, however confidence in
storms in this area remains low at this time. There is a low to
moderate chance that MVFR to IFR cigs develop in eastern NM tomorrow
night after storms end.
