KCOS and KPUB: VFR conditions are expected over the next 24 hours.
Winds are expected to remain light, around and less than 10 knots,
through this TAF period, with the strongest winds taking place
during the afternoon and evening tomorrow. Otherwise, dry conditions
with pockets of high level clouds prevail.
KALS: VFR conditions are expected over the next 24 hours. Looking at
winds, confidence has increased in gusty winds developing at the TAF
site tomorrow afternoon and into the evening as a storm system
passes over, with gusts of 25-30 knots expected to develop by late
afternoon and persisting through the end of this TAF period.
Otherwise, light winds around and less than 10 knots are expected
tonight through early to mid afternoon tomorrow. In addition,
showers may impact the terminal site late tomorrow afternoon into
the evening, bringing periods of decreased visibility and ceiling
heights.

Most of the region will stay at VFR through tonight. A storm
system moves in from the southwest tomorrow afternoon though.
Light to moderate rain is expected to impact all terminals at
some point tomorrow afternoon (and snow will be possible later
in the day at KTEX). This precipitation could periodically drop
terminals to MVFR or IFR conditions, and cigs are expected to
fall near or below ILS breakpoints at most terminals.

.AVIATION...KSLC...Northwesterly flow will persist through
roughly 03-04z, when winds will gradually transition back to
southeasterly. Ceilings will gradually lower, producing mountain
obscuration as early as 10z with the arrival of isolated to
scattered rain showers. A wider swath of rain will begin after
17-18z with persistent southerly winds around 10-15kts.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Isolated to scattered showers
will arrive into southwestern Utah by 00-01z this evening, slowly
overspreading across the state into northern Utah by 10-14z. Modest
VIS reductions are possible, though likely remaining VFR. A broader
swath of precipitation will develop first across southwest Utah
after 12z, pushing northeastward and reaching northern TAF sites by
17-20z. This will bring more persistent rainfall and the potential
for MVFR VIS/CIGs. KEVW could see IFR CIGs after 22z Sunday with a
transition to snow at the tail end of the precipitation after 03-06z
Monday or so. Finally, winds will increase out of the southwest by
Sunday afternoon, with locally enhanced winds possible near showers
across southwestern Utah, with gusts up to 30kts possible.

SCT-BKN clouds, FL150-220, continue to push northward across
the forecast area as all terminals remain VFR. An upper level
low along the southern California coast tracks inland overnight
and Sunday morning, nearing Wyoming by midday Sunday. Southerly
surface flow ahead of this feature leads to an increase in
southerly wind at KCPR and KRKS by 18Z. Isolated light showers
approach from the south over far western portions, impacting
KJAC between 14Z and 16Z and again between 19Z and 21Z.
Conditions are expected to remain VFR with these showers. Snow
levels will be around 9000 ft over the western mountains through
the day. More widespread precipitation will develop and move
over far southern portions of the state by 00Z, moving northward
through 06Z Monday. Cloud heights will lower to FL050-080
across areas west of the Divide by 00Z and continue to lower to
MVFR with the rain. KRKS and KBPI/KPNA will be impacted between
00Z and 06Z, with snow levels ranging between 7000 and 8500 ft.
This area of rain will cross the Divide and impact KCPR,
KRIW/KLND by 05Z/06Z. There is a 30% chance for LIFR
ceilings/IFR visibilities occurring with the precipitation across
most areas west of the Divide by the end of the TAF period.

This will include the VTN terminal. The magnitude of impact
remains somewhat uncertain. Will carry a TEMPO group to cover
the threat for IFR/LIFR conditions. By late morning, conditions
will return to VFR and persist through the end of the forecast
period.

GLD: VFR conditions will, once again, rule through the the TAF
period.. with cloud cover confined to occasional wisps of cirrus
at/above 20,000 ft AGL. SSW winds at ~10 knots will prevail
early this morning. Winds will back to the S and increase to ~15
knots a few hours after sunrise (~16Z), further increasing to
15-25 knots during the late morning (~18Z) and persisting
through the afternoon. Winds will back to the SSE and decrease
to 12-17 knots around, or shortly before, sunset (~23Z). Breezy
(15-25 knot) SSE winds could return, at times, this evening
(02-06Z Mon) as the MSLP-850 mb height gradient tightens on the
eastern periphery of a developing lee cyclone in CO. Otherwise,
12-17 knot SSE winds are anticipated to prevail through the
remainder of the 12Z TAF period.
MCK: A short period of MVFR-IFR ceilings cannot be ruled-out
near the end of the 12Z TAF period (~09-12Z Monday). At this
time, confidence is low with regard to whether or not stratus
will develop. Otherwise, VFR conditions will rule through the
TAF period. Light/variable winds will shift to the SE by sunrise
(~12Z) this morning. SE-SSE winds will increase to 10-15 knots
during the late morning (15-16Z) and further increase to 15-20
knots by early afternoon (19Z). SSE-SE winds will decrease to
10-15 knots around, or shortly before, sunset (23Z) this evening
and persist through the remainder of the 12Z TAF period.

Just a few high clouds are over northern and central New Mexico
with VFR (Visual Flight Rules) conditions and light breezes in
place. Breezes will increase Sunday afternoon from the southwest
as a low pressure system lifts toward the Four Corners region, and
occasional gusts to 20-25 kt will be observed in some central to
western areas of New Mexico. Rain showers and a few weak
thunderstorms will enter western areas of New Mexico late in the
afternoon, and a few isolated areas may briefly drop to MVFR
status (ceilings below 3000 ft, visibility below 5 miles) late in
the afternoon Sunday. Showers will refocus toward northwestern to
north central New Mexico Sunday evening with snow falling on and
obscuring mountain peaks. Low level wind shear will also develop
Sunday night as stronger winds aloft buffet the area, creating a
stark contrast in speeds within the lowest couple thousand feet of
the atmosphere, especially just east of the central mountain
chain.
