...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM NEAR CASTLE ROCK
EAST TOWARDS KIOWA WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ELBERT AND EAST CENTRAL
DOUGLAS COUNTIES UNTIL 515 PM MDT...

At 431 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms near Elizabeth, or 30 miles southeast of Denver,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Castle Rock, Elizabeth, Ponderosa Park, Franktown and Castlewood
  Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
