612 WWUS85 KBOU 050220 RFWBOU URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 820 PM MDT Fri Oct 4 2024 ...BREEZY AND DRY OVER NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO TODAY... ...WINDY CONDITIONS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL CAUSE WIDESPREAD CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS SATURDAY ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST COLORADO... Gusty west/northwest winds will spread across the region Saturday, strongest in the high country and areas within 50 miles of the Wyoming and Nebraska state lines. Very dry conditions are expected, with minimum humidity of 8-12% across the lower elevations, and 10-18% in the high country below 10,000 ft. Temperatures will also remain very warm, well above seasonal averages and locally near daily records. Given vegetation has dried significantly in recent weeks, this combination of factors will lead to widespread critical fire weather conditions across the region from late morning through early evening.
