This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Sudden and gusty outflow winds to 40-50 mph or more will be possible from any high based showers or storms that develop this afternoon. Some of these won`t even produce precipitation at the ground. They will mostly occur between 2 pm and 8 pm. It will be hot as well, so be sure to stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks if the shade if working outdoors. The hot and dry conditions will also lead to elevated fire weather conditions today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday The potential for new wildfire starts will increase Thursday, as the risk of dry thunderstorms (lightning but little rainfall) rises. They will also be capable of producing gusty outflow winds to 40-50 mph or more. Temperatures will heat up to the highest of the week, with highs expected to reach the upper 90s across the plains and I-25 Corridor. A few spots on the plains could touch 100F. Somewhat higher storm coverage can be expected Friday and Saturday, mainly over the mountains. Drier weather is expected to return again by Sunday and continue into early next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be required today or tonight. $$
