Areas above 9 thousand feet will receive snowfall with totals between 1-3 inches through tonight. Prepare for winter travel along mountain passes. Rain showers are expected for lower elevations and isolated thunderstorms could occur over the urban corridor through this evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday A storm system will bring snow to the mountains through early Monday morning, with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms on the plains. There could be travel impacts over the highest mountain passes Saturday. By Sunday, temperatures will warm somewhat, even in the mountains, so significant snow accumulations are not expected. Upper ridging and dry conditions return Monday through at least next Thursday, and likely beyond that. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. $$
