Significant winter storm for northeast Colorado...expect hazardous
driving conditions....

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Moderate to heavy snow is occurring across much of the forecast
area and will continue through tonight. Snowfall accumulations
from today into Saturday morning look to be significant with 12 to
20 inches over the Palmer Divide, 8 to 14 across Greater Denver
and Boulder, 8 to 16 inches for the mountains and southern
foothills, and 4 to 8 inches over the rest of the plains,
northern foothills and Park County, with the northeast corner
receiving just rain.

Treacherous winter driving conditions, including numerous road
closures, can be expected across northeast Colorado into early
Saturday. Check cotrip.org for the latest road conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Snow will end on the plains by midday Saturday, with light showers
lingering in the mountains into Saturday night. There will be a
windy period over the Front Range mountains and foothills Saturday
night with wind gusts of 40 to 60 mph. The next chance of snow
will be about Tuesday or Wednesday with light snow possible in the
mountains, and a slight chance of brief showers on the plains.
