.DISCUSSION...
Tuesday will bring slightly cooler conditions along with a gradual
increase in cloud cover through the day as a weak low pressure system
brushes the state. Precipitation is unlikely for the units through at least
mid afternoon, with chances increasing more notably in the evening (around 40%).
Even then, any snow showers that do develop in the evening and overnight would
be light, with little accumulation (a half to 1" at most, but likely less).
Winds will strengthen throughout the day, peaking in the afternoon and early
evening when 20-ft gusts may approach 30 mph. Expect quite variable speeds
depending on elevation, with considerable sheltering for any piles nearer the
bottom of the Meadow Creek drainage, and gusts closer to the higher end of the
forecast for locations near ridgetop. Smoke dispersal conditions will be highly
favorable throughout the day as a result of the breezy winds. Winds will gradually
weaken through the overnight hours, with excellent humimidity recovery even if
precipitation does not materialize.
Wednesday will bring reduced cloud cover, much weaker and more variable winds,
and notably poorer smoke dispersal conditions.
