.DISCUSSION...Scattered rain showers are expected throughout the
day today with a small chance (~25%) for afternoon thunderstorms.
Lightning will be the biggest threat. There will be a lull in
precipitation this evening, with wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Isolated light showers are possible overnight ahead of an incoming
system, with snow levels above 12,000 ft. By 5-7 AM on Sunday, a
cold front will arrive, rapidly dropping snow levels to 8,500 ft.
Light snow showers are expected in the early morning before
ending by 10AM-12PM. 1-2" accumulation most likely, with
localized higher amounts on the highest peaks. In addition,
blowing snow is probable with wind gusts up to 50 mph through
Sunday morning.

By Sunday afternoon, dry conditions should prevail with wind
speeds dropping below 25 mph by 3 PM. Late Monday, there is
another chance for light snow above 10,000 ft. However, the bulk
of the precipitation may stay south of your location. Mostly dry
conditions expected next week, with warmer temperatures returning.
