.DISCUSSION...

Light and variable winds generally 5 mph or less will continue through
most of the morning, before a transition to prevailing winds from the south
near midday which will continue through the afternoon. Confidence in wind
direction is high. Speeds will be light, even in the afternoon.

Partial cloud cover this morning may increase slightly in the afternoon,
when the chance of snow showers will rise to between 40-50%. If additional
accumulations occur, they`d be very light, and around 0.5" or less on
vegetation. Most of the shower activity will remain anchored to the higher
mountain terrain to the north and east.

Due to the light wind speeds, smoke dispersal is anticipated to remain Poor
to Marginal for a majority of the day. However, a brief 1-3 hour window
of Marginal to Fair conditions will be possible during the early afternoon
when mixing heights will be deepest. Vertical dispersal will be much better
than any lateral dispersal.
